Simmer
A countdown you can see from across the room. Simmer started as a timeout timer for a kid who earned a lot of timeouts, and it works just as well for homework, screen time, or the stove.
What it does
- Big, simple dials that drain as time runs out: a ring, a pie, water, a horizon, an eclipse, a tower of blocks, and more.
- Rings like an alarm on iOS 26, even in silent mode, with the countdown on the Lock Screen.
- Pick a tone, or record your own “Timeout’s over!” message.
- An Apple Watch app, so you can pause or repeat the timer from another room.
Pricing
The Ring dial, the Sky colors, saved timers and the chime are free. Simmer Pro adds every other dial, color and tone, plus the Apple Watch app: free for one week, then $1/month or $10/year.
